Review employees who use multiple devices

How employee totals avoid double-counting overlapping minutes across workstations.

For AdminsFor ManagersFor ITs

The short answer

WorkforcePilot reconciles device activity at the person-and-minute level. When two mapped devices report the same minute, the employee total uses one reconciled minute instead of adding both devices together.

01

Why reconciliation matters

Healthcare and operations staff often move among exam-room computers, shared workstations, laptops, and desktops. Adding each device’s elapsed time can produce impossible workdays.

Current employee reports reconcile overlapping device observations into a person-level minute. A parked device should not multiply the person’s active or idle total while they work elsewhere.

02

What managers should check

  1. 1Search for the employee and review the devices associated with their identity.
  2. 2Use the most-recent signal to understand which device is current.
  3. 3Open a device only when you need device-specific context; use the employee total for a workday or report.
  4. 4If totals remain implausible, check for two different usernames that belong to the same person or one shared username used by several people.
